The Database of Youth Policies and Legislation on Youth Inclusion

The Database of Youth Policies and Legislation on Youth Inclusion ("the Database") has been prepared as a part of the activities under the EXCEPT Project (Social Exclusion of Youth in Europe: Cumulative Disadvantages, Coping Strategies, Effective Policies and Transfer) by the Bulgarian EXCEPT partner – ISSK at BAS.

The Database has three parts:

  • Macroindicators (2000-2016);
  • Quantitative and qualitative information on national policy measures;
  • Description of selected policy measures.

It contains data on more than 150 economic and social policy statistical indicators for the period from 2000 to 2016. Most of the indicators address the situation both in all EU Member States and EU as a whole. In addition, the database contains quantitative and qualitative information on 44 youth inclusion policy measures from 9 European countries (Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Sweden, the UK, and Ukraine). Summarized qualitative information on general policy trends at national level is provided as well.

Information used in the Database comes from various sources such as Eurostat, European Commission (DG EMPL, DG ECFIN), OECD and national reports. National reports have been prepared by the responsible EXCEPT Project partner for the respective country. Data source, including description, weblinks and date of access, is provided for each indicator.
