Except experiential workshop for Psychology students in Greece
The Greek EXCEPT Project team organized an experiential workshop for Psychology students to introduce EXCEPT and help express the students’ thoughts, feelings and fears relating to their transition to a labor market characterized by increased unemployment and insecurity.
The workshop took place over three 2-hour weekly meetings and coordinated by experienced clinical psychologist (Christiana Golfou) and Christina Athanasiades. At the first meeting, participants discussed, among other things, the meaning of work and the ideal job for them. During the second meeting, they brought "photos" representing their personal (subjective) ideas of work. The discussion brought out several issues and concerns about "working" as well as some positive thoughts and a willingness to try and fight for their dreams.
