EXCEPT student exchange between UDE and UNITO
On October 6-12, students from the Universities of Turin and Duisburg-Essen met in Turin for joint research initiative, which foresees the involvement of MA students from the two EXCEPT partner countries in joint research projects. This initiative will further disseminate the theoretical framework and empirical results of the EXCEPT among youth, to promote further collaborations between universities involved in the project and produce new research evidence on youth in Europe.
Prior to the meeting, each student had to develop a specific research project using the EXCEPT framework. At the Turin meeting, individual projects were linked together to allow a German-Italian comparison of the experiences of youth in education and the labour market.
Students will continue to work on this project over the next two months and there are plans for a return research visit by Turin students to Germany in mid-December.
