EXCEPT held the final conference “Vulnerable Youth – Insights, Policy and Future Perspectives” On the 14th of March, 2018 in Brussels

The final EXCEPT conference was a great success, with researchers, policy makers, representatives of civil society and youth attending and discussing new interventions for reducing exclusion in Europe. The event was opened by Kadri Sirg from Estonian Liaison Office for EU RTD and Kirsten Wilde from European Commission (REA). Marge Unt, EXCEPT coordinator also gave a welcome speech which recapped on the aims of the project and the value of the key project outcomes.

During the conference, EXCEPT researchers presented the main findings, youth gave their perception of the current situation, and policy-makers discussed what can be done to mitigate the negative consequences of unemployment and job insecurity with regard to health, well-being, autonomy and socio-economic situation of young people.
