EXCEPT project results presented at a youth conference in Estonia
25.04.2017

On the 25th of April EXCEPT project coordinator spoke at a youth conference about becoming an adult in Estonia in comparison to other European countries. The presentation stressed the different conceptualizations of becoming an adult of today's Estonian youth who rather emphasize the importance of inner growth and not the five key transition markers: school graduation, labour market entry, leaving parental home, establishing family, becoming parents. Also, the parental background is extremely important to vulnerable youth, as the support by state is minimal. The student conference KOKOKO has been held already since year 1953, organized by the students to address relevant questions to youth through another perspective.
